On the 7th May I begin a 14 day cleanse. Nothing new in this for me, i do one a year, and usually about this time because it’s warmer and the season is still changing and traditionally cleansing was done at the change of the season. This time i’m doing a new one from Nutri Advanced and because it’s new they have invited practitioners to take part. It comes complete with supplements, food programme, health questionnaire, toxic questionnaire, instructions on how to do your BMI and waist/hip ratio and there’s 3 webinars to inform and guide us through the programme. It costs around £130, so not cheap, but then nothing is!
I always find I have to prepare well. It’s no good drinking lots of alcohol the day before or gorging on chocolate as it just sets you up to have a harder time in those first few days. So, next Monday evening i will be out buying all my goodies – the usual fresh veg with a little fruit, nuts, seeds, pulses, quinoa, brown rice, nut butter, coconut water and milk, almond milk, rooibos tea, chicken breasts, turkey, lean meat, olive oil and coconut oil.
It doesn’t matter how many times we have fasted or cleansed it’s always the same, PREPARE WELL, otherwise we are setting ourselves up to fail. During days 7,8 and 9 you don’t eat any food but have a few more supplements and drinks made up from the powder. I’ll have a colonic on these days, although that’s not stated, but when in Rome……….
I’ll keep you posted as to how it goes!
