Blocked sinuses cause discomfort and pain for many on a daily basis and here I wish to discuss the method of oil pulling to relieve this discomfort.
First thing in the morning, before food, swill and swish 1 tablespoon of cold pressed organic olive oil or coconut oil around the mouth and in between the teeth. This process should take 20 minutes and ensures the oil is mixed well with the saliva which then activates enzymes which help draw out bacteria and toxins.
As you swish and swill, the oil becomes thinner and white so if you find the oil is still the original colour after 20 minutes then a little more effort is required in the swishing and swilling department! Spit out in the toilet, the sink may clog if you discard it there, and be careful NOT to swallow any as it contains too many toxins to reintroduce them back into the body. Rinse your mouth thoroughly with warm water afterwards, and I put a tiny bit of Himalayan Salt in it for extra cleansing.
This can be done up to 3 times per day but always on an empty stomach. Try doing it initially in the morning and then if there is little benefit to the sinuses repeat the process later in the day. Do this for at least 2 weeks and then consider its benefits.
There is much written about oil pulling. It is said to heal bleeding gums, whiten teeth and draws toxins and bacteria out of the body enhancing health at a deep cellular level. I cannot vouch for the latter but what I do know is it was helpful for those in our family who suffered with sinus problems.
